does no one else find it kinda of weird the mc got executed for deception? how is it her fault for ‘deceiving’ the empire as if he didn’t personally take her in as his daughter and watch her grow up since she was a baby? like worst case scenario the dads the one who accidentally took in someone else’s kid

that’s what I thought to tbh. the whole deceiving thing was actually really stupid, but probably due to some main key; the prophecy (the more i delve into the story, the more i hated the goddess or the people there that are extremely gullible.) first, i think they are trying to point out that the father of the mc was the guy supported by the count — probably taking advantage of the fact that the mc did not look like the duke. it honestly was a messy situation, but it just proved the fact that the people there is actually stupid and would believe anything they hear (even through gossip LMAO). besides due to the prophecy also, it is inevitable but to execute the mc (she was thought to be the false daughter) to avoid the war. the story was a little messy at execution, but it is a good concept ngl. the fact that the antagonist is out there for malice and no specific reason really holds the good story (since demons like the taste of victory, even if there is no actual benefit in it). I know there would probably a back story why Cosette (i forgot her demon name) would do that, but it would honestly be better if she didn’t and remained as the bad bitch she is. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
