I'm agree with you. The author just manipulate us to look good on sally and make a villian to the main wife. In other manhwa main wife and mostly MC and some of them also didn't love their husband and just use his family name but after rebirth they fall another male lead or just end up again with exhusband.In here people (most of us are women) still blame to women and not actual culprit of all this shit happen 'The Man'.

The author isn't manipulating you, the author INVENTED these characters, they're exactly what the author says they are, bc everything they are and do is the author's decision. Other comics are other comics, the characters in there are different. Elysee is irredeemable bc the author decided it when they invented her. Just think about the natural conclusion for this forced marriage. If Elysee got her way, that'd mean forcing the Duke to marry and eventually have children with her (bc heirs are so important to nobles) against his will - that's marital r*pe, babes. There's no world where I'd defend a wannabe sex criminal just because she's a woman. If the genders were swapped, nobody would be defending Elysee.
On top of the fact that forcing marriage on the duke is basically paving the road to committing marital r*pe against him, might I remind you that Elysee also killed Lily just to save her own reputation. Not just Sally, but even her own ally. WAKE UP, there is no world where Elysee is a good person - if she were, she'd be a completely different character, not Elysee at all.
Who say the main wife is a good person.She have to be a bad bitch for this story this is her role and she is indeed evil ( a villian is a needed to shine the protagonist) but all of you are blaming only on woman and not man. If the duke care Sally and give a proper training to fight his wife do you think sally will die in her last life? Most of you are neglecting the duke's action.He can marry a proper educated girl to fight with his wife but he rather choose a lowborn girl to make the woman feel humiliation but what is the outcome? The girl die! He and his wife are both selfish and belittle on commoner peoples. They both use people lives as a chess pieces but nobody say the duke is asshole (〜￣△￣)〜
Lots of people called the duke an asshole. Even Sally considered him someone callous, who doesn't care about her or anyone. He's just been changing for the better in this life. And even still, I don't think that means he deserves to be forced into marriage. Nobody deserves that.
And mind you, the comment you responded to said "Why are we siding with Sally?". With you guys just flip-flopping between blaming Sally and blaming the duke, it sounds like your main priority is just defending Elysee no matter what.

I just feel like the author is trying their best not to make ML a real jerk and Elysee to be a bitch. If he can't simply divorce he can just kill her without any suspicious but no the author doesn't want to make him a jerk and want to create a mistress protagonist. Well still a good read for my daily dose of poison.

Go read those. This is a different story with a different premise. In this story exists a hateful wife who trapped a man into a marriage he cannot get out of without doing something that everyone in their society has accepted as par for the course: having a mistress. Trying to use your modern day common sense for a time where most people never married out of love is ridiculous. Ok she was killed by the duchesse in her previous life but we don't know anything. She was still a mistress. In her previous life she may have played the I am weak and innocent game.
Some people may say :"we are supporting Sally because the duchesse is a psycho" but if the author wrote the same story with the duchesse as the MC/FL we will sure be on her side
Anyways I am here to see more. Looks like the duchesse really love her husband and don't want to divorce him (even though I may be wrong).
And the fact that even if her family or her is blackmailing the Duke she has the right to not like Sally.
The author is doing a great job manipulating us. For now and for me the real vilain is still the duke even if he fell for Sally (he still put her in danger by having her as a mistress)
