It's just two stories meshed together ungracefully. The first story is a semi generic rapist top with some sports flair that turns somewhat fluffy, and the second story is a half way decent yakuza story. Just looking at the top's backstory is a pretty decent representation of this; he starts off in the first volume as simply a former child prostitute, something that's decent enough for the first story. Then he becomes a former child prostitute with vague ties to the mafia who's father was killed by his brother who had some weird incest with him. Those two stories aren't incompatible but the issue is that they didn't set any of it up, they just tweaked the generic vague backstory to fit into a yakuza story. And I think that's summarizes the main issue with this, they take a simple story and shift it into a convoluted yakuza story with no warning.
