from what I got Bside is Hoshinas back story, kaiju is the main so if you want some extra background info you can read the BSide but it isn’t mandatory (I love Hoshina so I happily read it)
It's like a side stories we didn't get the chance to see in the main manga.
The first side story is about Hoshina joining 3rd. Division, the second story is about Kikoru and how she get hers special weapon (with a bunch of Hoshina who was supervicing her in that), and now it's the third story about Narumi and how he join the defence force and how he was recruted by Isao.
can someone tell me what's the relation of kaiju no.8 on kaiju no.8:b-side?
