I think the feeling is already there....the fact that nakwon confuses him is already playing a role in mokwa falling for nakwon......also him being really persistent, not giving up and having a lot of self confidence also kinda is playing a role....like because he is not giving up and being persistent is good for mokwa who have abandonment issues.....kinda makes him consciously believe that nakwon won't abandon him
Also i don't really think that nakwon have a lot of luck.... obviously lucky on the side that he met mokwa but I personally think their characteristics suit each other really well.....getting Mokwa to open up in his situation would be particularly hard unless one kinda have similar characteristics to nakwon but that's not a common characteristics....of course in the past it would have been easier but after that unless it was the big boss I feel like no one would be able to open mokwas heart at all
I think we’re in agreement! you thoroughly explained some views I also happen to share. what personally bums me out is the reality of their relationship, which is the clear power imbalance between Nakwon (the cop) and Mokwa (the convict), which Nakwon consistently exploits and uses for his own benefit (grape). the truth is, their relationship began with violence and only changed when Nakwon started to fancy Mokwa. but would Nakwon stop being violent if he didn’t fancy him? probably not. as a reader, Nakwon's intentions often feel shallow and driven by lust, though I do see some character development. for instance, he’s reluctantly doing things he dislikes (like the overcrowded Busan trip) for Mokwa's sake. when I said Nakwon is 'lucky,' I meant he's fortunate to be Mokwa's first in so many experiences, even if he achieved it forcibly. Nakwon lacks patience and is self-indulgent, traits that definitely helped him crack Mokwa (with his bare hands, at times). but I can't help but wonder: what if someone else had been first? someone patient enough to let Mokwa open up naturally, rather than pressuring him. it’s saddening to think Mokwa may never experience the patient love he deserves, settling instead for Nakwon's impulsive affection as his only example of romantic intimacy. nakwon was just lucky enough to be the first to get to Mokwa, but there are definitely others with better methods.
“I feel like no one would be able to open mokwas heart at all” Nakwon forced his way in and continues to impose his wants on Mokwa through frequent manipulation. I believe Mokwa deserves patience and the selflessness that comes with love. while I definitely do enjoy the story, no complaints from me, just some observations, I see Nakwon not as someone who opens Mokwa’s heart, but as someone who chips away at its defenses until they inevitably crumble.
I am in no way saying nakwon is not at fault.... honestly speaking the only reason I am actually enjoying the manhua is bcz nakwon is suffering (not much given his really optimistic views and all) bcz of mokwas sense nature and I am enjoying that thoroughly.....of course I also agree that nakwon is like doing everything bcz he fell for nakwon otherwise he is a piece of trash
I agree that mokwa deserves better....but I personally do believe mokwa needed someone like nakwon to open his heart....I agree someone with more patience would be really helpful but at the same time I think mokwa have a tendency to push people away and also his dense nature doesn't help....like I personally am not a fan of dense MC's .....but bcz of nakwon being shitty at the start I am not hating mokwa's side....but instead of nakwon if it was someone who was selfless and patience from the start and that flower scene happened(like nakwon telling mokwa "I love you" but then mokwa completely disregarding it kinda) I would have been pretty angry.....and Ik some might argue that maybe the reason mokwa acted like that is cause nakwon confuses him and all.....but atleast I personally think mokwa is afraid of human interaction in general while at the same time seek it a lot.....which makes him try to not question other and do things as he is told and so I feel the situation would be same.....like honestly I understand where mokwa is coming from but at the same time i feel like because you are hurting doesn't mean you can hurt others too....so I do think I would personally not like mokwa's denseness.....
The last part about mokwa's denseness is just my opinion which is no I think make nakwon the best for mokwa.....but honestly I personally like the contrast between them a lot.....also they remind me a lot of main couple from "the third ending" except seo yeonsool is way better version of nakwon and well I personally do think once mokwa do fall for nakwon he might act like Kang Joon(only having eyes for one person only)
we definitely have different perspectives on the matter, but that’s okay! I appreciate your analysis on their dynamics. but I’m happy to see that we both enjoy the contrast between Nakwon and Mokwa, it’s not exactly a completely new pairing, but it has a complexity that is strangely intriguing (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I read “the third ending” too!!! loved it, I can see the resemblance between Mokwa and Kang Joon, thank you for enlightening me on that. this was a nice discussion!
when Mokwa eventually learns to love Nakwon, it will be because Nakwon confuses him, there's no clear hierarchy in their relationship from Mokwa's perspective, so he struggles to place Nakwon in his life. of course, I disagree with that: Nakwon, being a cop, holds significant leverage in their relationship and has used it to satisfy himself before. due to Nakwon's own selfishness, he's the first person to ease Mokwa’s loneliness by forcing his way into his life. Nakwon is the person Mokwa is experiencing many firsts with, and over time, Mokwa may develop an attachment, a tolerance, that could grow into love. yet, Nakwon could be replaced by anyone, perhaps someone better who didn't hurt him and wasn’t so set on monopolizing him. Nakwon simply got lucky as the first and only person insistent enough to push for more.
