I think this is the first I seriously wanted to isekai in this story or some shit, and then be Cirrus’s friend. Chan-il is a good friend but I’d be someone who knows everything about Cirrus cause I read this book. Haha
Seriously man... Like I really want to be his friend not out of pity but someone who knows how it feels... Dysfunctional families, SA... People look at the content about this things and just consume me it as that and even say those characters are overreacting or dragging it without even understanding how scarily same they are with real victims and how hard it is to live with those experience... We don't want someone who'll pity us we just need understanding and someone who'll look at the same way as they did before knowing something about it..
this! I'm so glad to see that not everyone is blaming cirrus for not being able to communicate, not that I'm saying it's okay but considering the truama he holds it explains why he dislikes the idea that chanil befrnded his thru pity/sympathy.
And if you think about it that's how his issues started with his father after his mother's death. Cirrus takes in sympathy as a facade/act. Explains why he wouldn't want to communicate and feels defeated.
It’s baffling they expect a teenager to communicate. Adults can’t even at times, what more can teens do?

every time I look at cirrus that song 'I bet on losing dog' by mitski starts playing in my head especially that part 'baby my baby'. I feel so helpless every time I read a chapter of litc like when you look at someone you love suffer and can't do anything because their pain also resonates with you so much that you don't know how to hold them with comfort as you feel being torn apart from inside as you watch them.... Idek what am saying
