It's kinda shown/mentioned at the very beginning of the manga but I think she says it one more time mid way just never shown cutting her hair again.
I didn’t know the manga was already out which I will not look at until I finish this, but whatever
I was confused for a second cuz in the anime they showed her cutting her hair while here it wasn't showed I found that it was a nice detail
