You got it spot on, he was a person who died and the parents couldn’t handle the grief, they decided to make an android look alike who will be like a human when humanization hits 100 and who will be strong enough to not die no matter what

Idk why but I just can't take it seriously unless there's a twist that the guy is really a person. Or he was a person who died and and his memories were injected into that android, because he loved the uke before he died.
