Yes! I loved him in that chapter and that's why he has potential, but he never takes the initiative. Cirrus is begging for someone to love him and take care of him but Skylar is still too insecure about love, I get why, but I really need for him to get over it because Cirrus needs someone now.

I think what you meant is that Cirrus needs someone who won't make him anxious af all the time since we all know that cirrus is full of trauma and insecurities. Exactly and i love Cirrus don't get me wrong but with how cirrus treated him you can't really blame Skylar for not opening up and trusting him immediately. I'm honestly suprised how fast he did open up to him despite Cirrus's intial behavior because Cirrus isn't the only one who was traumatized. With the way that Sylar intially met Cirrus, especially with how his last relationship went, I'm honestly suprised it didn't take longer. They are both really fucked up due to trauma and I just hope they can help each other recover but it will take time honestly because they are kind of like triggers for each other at times. But i still love them <33

I wouldn’t say Skylar is fucked up as Cirrus is, cirrus is another level of mental problems but I agree they both have traumas that share similar characteristics.

Cirrus opened up to Skylar about his trauma much quicker, and even though they kind of apologized to each other with their recent fight, it feels gloomy and awkward/sad considering Skylar hasn’t cleared up the misunderstanding (the part where he lied saying that Cirrus is his second choice, and that he still likes Chan when he doesn’t).

I’m not surprised Cirrus went for comfort from his childhood friend Ri-in because Skylar did mess up a bit by beating someone he knew has abuse trauma, both of them did in the moment out of anger. While I don’t justify what both did and say, I think they can be forgiven…like they’re literally teens with mental health issues.

Skylar hasn’t opened up yet about his trauma so Cirrus is confused on why their relationship can’t be revealed I think and this led to Cirrus feeling unloved. So hopefully they talk it out. And more better apology.

I agree! I think that their situations are a bit different but they are just both fucked up mentally as a result and now have trust issues which is really sad becasue they now can't really trust each other and unknowingly trigger each others trauma. Which results in responses like Skylar hitting Cirrus because of being kissed (one of his triggers) and then Cirrus being triggered by being hit. I think it would help for Skylar to open up more but the last time he did he literally got assaulted and bullied for for so long so I can't blame him honestly. Also being that their relationship started on blackmail which probably makes it harder for Skylar to trust that Cirrus won't do it again. I am glad that they apologized to each other but who knows how long it will take for Skylar to open up especially being that the only reason other people know about what happened was against his will. But yea I agree overall i think they can be redeemed and be truthful about they're past and feelings but with what's going on or about to go on i don't know how long that will take.

I agree about the relationship beginning with blackmail, but people do forget that Skylar asked Cirrus out first. Even I was surprised, why’d he ask someone who hurt him. But I am glad Cirrus apologized to Skylar about everything he did to him, so I doubt that is the issue for Skylar. The issue is Cirrus still being possessive and insecure, he became more upset once Skylar lied about still liking Chan, and two parties need to work the relationship in order to mend any hurt.

So I’m not sure if he really loves Cirrus or just trying it out. But either ways as long as he falls for Cirrus, I don’t care. I need both of them to heal, even if it’s 10% of healing.

I’m just saying Skylar isn’t as fucked up as Cirrus because unlike Skylar, Cirrus did manipulate (to feel in control due to his abusive and controlling fam), schemings, blackmailing, etc.

Skylar is a bit fucked up too (he also kissed without consent before but not with Cirrus, and anger issues by being provoked and that led to beating Cirrus up while knowing he had trauma relating to that as well. Etc)

I heard the author is ending it pretty soon, so I don’t know how they’ll cram all of the misunderstandings solution in a few chapters. Unless we get side stories and healthy progress in their relationship.

I have no idea I guess they mean by like “top” “bottom” standards idk but the writer even said that they won’t be assigning those labels on the characters as they should because that’s not the focus of the story. I definitely think too that Skylar is very “dominant” or protective of Cirrus with how he’s quick to defend him
