I’m going to apologize for expecting Chan-il to have wronged Cirrus in some way. My boy was just going through his own trauma which he coped with by erasing his sense of self since Chan-il’s friends were complete trash to begin with. The fact that he also did that so Chan-il could keep hanging out with his own friends speaks volume about how much he cared about him.
I hope Cirrus gets therapy from a trustworthy adults and I wish he could open his real self back to Chan-il. That boy might have befriended him out of pity, but he’s never been unkind to him. I hope Chan-il surprise him by actually asking Ri-in what’s up. Or better yet, I hope she just explains why she rushed out that way.
Anyway, the author hasn’t disappointed me so far, so fingers crossed that all three boys can grow healthy and strong mentally.
