honestly i can kind of feel for joobin since i can only imagine how uncomfortable it would feel admitting and coming to terms with the fact that you originally were using someone as a "replacement" (current bf) for your last model (aka his ex bf) on a project. just because it does look a bit shitty when you think about it... i mean who wants to be someone's rebound? plus having understood that yikyung fell hard for joobin at first sight whereas joobin was still having to heal from that last relationship with baek so the feeling was not romantically mutual at first since we know joobin was in a phase of messing around to cope. seeing joobin admitting he should've lied instead was honestly such a raw moment because it shows he does truly care for yikyung and doesn't want his past mistakes to affect how yikyung cares or sees him (unforunately that would have led to him lying but he didn't so honestly it shows that his character is developing). to say this all but i do still partially agree with you and honestly if i was in yikyung shoes i would be so pissed and insecure about the situation. but it is nice to see how yikyung can admit he is angry because it shows a sense of security he has in himself to be honest about his feelings and communicate that to his partner. i understood that joobin felt shitty about his original intentions, honestly my issue is the way he went about handling the situation. maybe joobin should’ve talked to yikyung himself, maybe not, me personally i very much believe in just owning up to your mistakes and communicating clearly. to me it just feels like he didn’t think it through enough and it felt a bit impulsive? joobin thought about lying after he realised the consequences of his actions which is why i originally commented in the first place. i’m not sure how much of a development that is and it seems destructive to think about lying to yikyung about something so massive. communication.. like many manhwas… is one of their issues and yikyung seems to feel insecure a lot, which i guess hits close to home so i interpreted this chapter way differently. had me feeling rough throughout the entire chapter ahahaha. i liked reading your thoughts on this, thank you for your response :)
