The banter between MC and ML is actually what makes the novel good. MC may seem brash and superficial but he’s actually shy, innocent and honest. The ML may seem like a perfect student, but he’s actually cunning and possessive. It is one of type most well written novels when it comes to character design and the relationships between characters. Nothing is said straightforwardly, you have to figure out how characters feel about each other from their interactions. I don’t think you read the novel.

Yeah, you sounds like someone who don't understand the meaning of "preferences", "genre" and "respect". No heavy plot is EXACTLY what people reading this are here for. If it is not to your liking, go and read something else. Something good doesn't have to be full of plot all the time, and something good doesn't have to be liked by EVERY SINGLE PERSON. Some lighthearted read like this made people happy and it is what the author intended for. This is a slice of life romance comedy GENRE. Some people also come here after reading plot-driven manhwa but still have fun. If you're not, then it's just not for you, there is no need to be so aggressive and attacking people's preferences and mocking the author. Go ahead and read tragedy, drama, psychological, horror, and whatever it is, my advice is to be sure and check the genre first.

If you really think you can make something better than this, something that can make people happy reading it, go ahead and try. Don't just mock people's work for something that you don't like when you probably can't even do that.
