I'm a bit confused, I stopped reading this as soon as I found out that the emperor is the ml, but what makes him different from that shtty ml in The Abandoned empress??
I didn't read the the abandoned empress but he gets a pass because what he did was protecting himself in the first lifetime. In this life time he should have done the same but because he loved her he found a way around it. Throughout this story he wasn't the abuser he was the one who was abused. And she hated him because of his blind belief on her family she was getting used by father but never figured it out in her first life. I really liked the male lead is a real baby boy TT^ TT
He is putting himself in danger to protect her and her love for her family! He tried to solve the problem without her finding out. And really the cruel one is the MC making him relive his trauma. And I think she unconsciously gave him more trauma I really need a happy ending for him. This is the first time that I care about ml more than mc
