He communicated, that isn’t breaking trust. Kang has insecurities and he deserves to let his partner know, it just came off the wrong way. Both are being childish by not properly talking.
How different would it be from a 3rd party and boyfriend? They’d be saying the same things, I guess you mean it would just hurt more coming from a boyfriend.
I think he should’ve said that. Why? Cause he can’t keep bottling it up. They’re partners, they need to talk any insecurities out, not bottle it up and run off.
Yiyoung has his right to be mad but how long can he be mad for? They’re gonna have to talk. And the main story has been hinting Kang’s insecurities, he probably thinks he can’t be enough alone for Yiyoung and that how old he is.
The 3rd person butting in isn’t something I enjoy, he’s hitting on someone who’s clearly taken and making them both uncomfortable (based off Yiyoung’s expression and Kang).
But it is for the plot so I understand.
You explained it well, yes he has insecurities I understand that that's why I half agree and disagree. You're also right about the boyfriend part. If a 3rd party said it to me that this relationship might not work since I am still young and inexperienced I would get mad and annoyed at them. But if my lover said it I would break down thinking "so they think we won't last long?" Which will make me lose trust and be anxious all the time . I understand Kang being insecure cuz the age gap between them is big so he thinks "what if someone young and better who is suitable for Yiyoung appears" as this is Yiyoung's first boyfriend. Also his friends saying "he falls in love easily" might have made him think about it more. But I believe they are gonna talk about it cuz no matter how childish they get at the end they communicate. And I wouldn't mind brown haired dude being here lol. It's for fun and we know for sure that end game is Yiyoung and Kang
You also have to ask yourself, “But if he didn’t love me, would he have taken care of me and comforted me?” Cause if I remember correctly, Kang has been really good to Yiyoung in the main story, it’s only getting kinda weird cause of insecurities.
If a partner can’t reassure another partner and work things out without jumping to breaking up, I don’t think one of them or either can last in a relationship long enough.
I get your point though. This would be avoided if they expressed how Yiyoung felt about Kang’s words, and Kang should be less logical and more emotional in a way.
I half agree and disagree with Kang. Yes he's older and has more experience while for Yiyoung it's first but it's so harmful to say it to his own partner which could create distrust. If a 3rd party said it it would have been understandable but coming from the boyfriend himself? That would make me cry thinking "so you think we wouldn't last long?" But I also understand where he's coming from. Yet he shouldn't have said that
