I think it's somewhat intentional
Changing and fixing relationships takes actually a long time and I think the empress herself will take a longer time to change
Her first instinct is to act, not to comfort. That's been a point of issue before and I think it'll keep being a point we take note
She's always going "what do I DO to make Lyrica safe?"
I'm saying this not bc I agree with her, but I think this will be a long story and the author seems prone to complex character building, so I'm guessing this is an issue that will continue for a long time, maybe it'll keep going until Lyrica is grown and becomes a powerful magic user
Then it will be a very interesting plot point, bc maybe the empress will realize at that point that all Lyrica needed all along was emotional support to be safe
But that's just a personal guess ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
In the end I think we'll just need to let the author cook, so far they haven't disappointed yet
This is also my opinion. I see alot of people complain about the mother sometimes when, in reality, people can't just do a 180° change in personality out of nowhere. The author took a realistic route and people can't seem to catch that, mostly bc of reincarnation/regression stories where the fl do a sudden 180° right after without any built-up.

I don't get why the author didn't even put a panel for the mother to stay by her side like her brother, after all of that, Lily vomited yes she was shocked, stressed, and even the father said about this, and that about her. But still... after all of that, Lily is now better but! not a single panel with her. And now she is only showing her planning idk why. Isn't this a story about changing and fixing relationship with her daughter.
