Conclusion. The manga events debunk the rumors of Tanjiro dying at 25. The curse is not that a Demon Slayer will die at 25 but that a Demon Slayer's lifespan will eventually decrease as they engage in more deadly battles.

    Which Manga event?

If it's some random manga event and not the author herself debunking or clarifying the notion that people with the mark cannot live past 25 years old, then it's not canon.

I've never seen or read the author debunking or clarifying anything about the mark. Do you have a link?

Hence, there is a high chance that Tanjiro, Giyu, and Sanemi will die before they turn 25.

I copy-pasted what I sent in the replies from here:

"Fans debate this topic a lot. The manga does not tell us the exact date of death for Demon Slayers. Since the curse(Death at 25) is not officially proven in the manga, it might be a normal superstition. Kokushibo has mentioned that the lifespan of Demon Slayers might be reduced (for the reasons mentioned above). So even if Tanjiro did not die at 25, he must have died before 30. It is mainly because he fought intense battles, damaged his body many times, and was not born with the mark"

Ugh… the link you provided is just a reader posting some article and their opinion about the mark, and not the author herself.

Just as I shared, unless the author confirmed it herself then everything you say or any person who read the book said about the mark is not canon.

What do you mean not officially proven? It’s common knowledge in the manga’s lore. The only one who survived past 25 while having a mark was Yoriichi.

Hahaha. Well, I’m really just trying to explain that if the author did not say it, then it’s not canon.

People can share their own views on the manga’s lore, but unless the author verifies it, it’s not official.

You have a good day. <3
