In this life, MC will once again saved ML from 6th prince scheme of treason. He will also forbid Hee ilhun to bring weapon on autumn festival. In 6th life, 6th prince attacked the emperor during banquet, ilhun used his weapon to protected the emperor and got hurt really bad. Emperor was very angry, aside from capturing & execution of 6th prince, emperor also forbid anyone to treat ilhun injury because *he brought weapon during banquet* even tho the weapon is used to protect emperor. Yes, emperor is very twisted person. Very evil. Reason why 6th prince did treason also because the emperor deliberately wiped out 6th prince maternal country (his mom is from neighbor nation). If 1st & 5th lives, emperor also didn't hesitate to order ML to kill himself to prove his innocence just because ML happened to lend his "jade/seal/ID" to purchase stuff.
Again emperor in this life suspicious of MC after this event, 1st life MC died after this event, 5th life MC died in imoogi cave, 6th life MC survived imoogi cave, 7th life (now), MC enter imoogi cave again under emperor order. Why imoogi cave? Because no one ever come back alive from that cave. The last survivor was like 500 years ago (?). So if MC survived, emperor told him that he is innocent and loyal to Daeheon Nation. Before entering imoogi cave, ML furiously asked MC (with suspicion) why are you confident entering imoogi cave "again"? Now MC realized ML also regressed. ML surprised MC also remembered past life. 5 days in imoogi cave, same as 6 months in real life. When MC gone out of the cave, 6 months have passed.
ML still furious at him. MC asked forgiveness for leaving him behind. ML couldn't believe it was misunderstanding and broke MC ankle (typical toxic gwanggong korean ML). All servants are confused. I mean, it's very very famous everywhere, including outside the palace that ML is head over heels on MC, like why would he smashed his ankle. Ok moving on, ML still avoiding MC, I think a month or so is passed.

War happened for like few months. MC & ML relationship getting so much much better. Like ML is so much clingy and stuff. Even all guards have to be very shy around their tent at night. Ahem.
The other generals are confused at first. MC has no title but as concubine (not first wife yet). But MC also lead war and cook up strategy. But upon seeing how good MC martial arts and strategy, no one ever doubt him again. Even some generals send their subordinates to MC to learn his martial arts.
ML very concerned about MC skincare routine he asked servants to bring all those skincare because MC doing a lot of hard works, MC realized he no longer a general but a prince's wife so he does do skincare (finally a husband who cares about wife skincare!!!).
Ok later again ML provoke Jin Hanjae (who framed MC) Jin Hanjae show up during war and got captured by ML. MC send letter to Hwajin to clear up his uncle name who Jin Hanjae framed as murderer. Hwajin emperor was angry the he told just kill jin hanjae and feed his corpse to animal or something. Actually jin hanjae killed the previous crown prince the one who is super smart and emperor favorite (I m talking about previous country not ML country).
Here, MC revenge is over. Now the arc continues about ML vs Crown Prince vs 2nd Prince vs Emperor. At least after the war, MC & ML are solid.
ML mom loves MC so much. She forbid everyone to enter harem and support her son to only marry one person. ML will not have a harem. MC will be yin person soooo much later. On side story. Why MC becomes Yin person so much later even if ML loves him so much? Because MC refuses to be a yin person at heart. But later after his revenge is over, he devoted himself as ML wife/empress/martial art instructor.
The ending is happy but there's so many arcs. Tbh ML isn't toxic except the ankle broken part. Aside from that he is just stupid lover and annoying one to boot.

Thank you for this and thank GOD there isn't any toxicity with their relationship, I can put up with the ankle breaking part cause I've read a lot of danmei novels with toxic ML and I ain't proud of it but it's fine haha. I also saw the raws for this and it's at 60+ chapters so I'm sad the english version still has a lot to keep up. But I'm VERY HAPPY that ML won't have a harem cause that's very common in historical BLs that they need to continue their bloodline blah blah so need to marry another woman ugh. What bothered me is the webtoon draws MC as smaller and sometimes wear woman clothing, like friggin why?? He was supposed to be handsome and manly, because ML is gay, he only likes strong man who he can do sparring with.

Actually i feel bothered too with the MC proportional body , its like the artist cannot determine MC real body. Sometimes they almost have same weight as ML but lately the Mc become more shorter :(. Oh so in Novel they don't give mc woman clothes?
In the novel MC is literally a general. He has handsome face, not pretty one. ML is gay, even his mom knew he is gay. The webtoon adaptation doesn't do justice, I mean, ML fell in love at first sight to MC because he is a strong warrior. And of course no women clothing. And he shouldn't be shorter tho :(

It didn't say at the start but this setting is yin & yang world. But they are slightly different. Yang people are only born from royalties. No yin are born, but women or men who slept with yang people will turn into yin people and have capabilities to have children. That's also why male consort and male concubine is accepted. Not all people could turn into yin person. Yin & Yang can sensed each other presence (like GPS). And can sense if the other is in danger or died.
The webtoon really don't do justice to the novel. Many scenes are cut, like chunk cut and the characters thought are not explained.
In webtoon there's no explanation why MC could only went as far as 5 winning in tournament. It was because all in his previous life, he was always tortured in ikmunsa, he suffered greatly and had his leg deformed.
In this life, he is healthy that's why he wanted 10 winnings. But upon seeing ML is his last opponent, MC understood that the king doesn't want to give him noble title, so MC is trying to fight appropriately and surrender. MC described ML has ill temper and great martial art. Also in novel, MC fight scenes with other opponents are written. The king even as far as sent his own military to fight MC but they all lose to MC. MC decided to surrender to ML because he didn't want to provoke the king by injuring his favorite's prince. These thought are not written at all in webtoon.
Next thing is : MC will be injured and slept for 2 whole days, ML was furious at the doctor for prescribing MC with medicine that made MC sleep that long. ML is crazy obsessive person. So he really tried to kill the doctor. MC woke up. Suddenly ML give MC alcoholic drink for newly wed couple and told MC this is why he bought MC. MC was surprised. In previous lifes, MC also slept with ML, but MC described it as "because ML pushed it" Or more like, ML made it that way. MC never thought ML will actually bought him for sex purpose. MC described ML has a taste or preference for a strong man. So MC thought, ML slept with him because he used to be a general. The sex scenes in webtoon is too much like rape while in novel is more normal, aside from binding MC hands.
ML said that he actually fell in love the first time he saw MC but more so after seeing MC capabilities on combat during tournament. ML is kinda crazy. Even if loves MC he doesn't have intention to make MC love him back and told his eunuch that if the emperor refused to let MC be his noble concubine, he can cut MC leg or blind his eye (by making MC disable, MC will have a hard time performing martial arts and emperor will see MC as harmless). The eunuch tried to avoid their relationship getting bad by saying please don't cut MC leg or blind his eye, he will surely earn resentment from MC if ML does that.
It's actually double regression. ML also regressed (only remember 6th life). But their point of return are different. While ML regressed to his 16 yo self (currently 20yo). MC always regressed at the point where he was already in jail. There was misunderstanding between MC & ML in 6th life. MC thought ML betrayed him by selling him out to Jin Hanjae. ML thought MC betrayed him by selling him out to crown prince.

Not all prince want to be emperor, but to maintain political balance, the emperor purposely pitt his son each other. ML already knew this tactic, always distance himself from other princes or any other political supporters. That's why emperor deliberately show favorism towards ML, to make other princes "attack" ML. Upon regression, ML is gaining supporters secretly, but not because he wants to be an emperor, but because he wants to be able to protect himself and leave capital whenever he want in the future.

ML found MC dying unexpectedly because ML had mini skirmish near the area MC died. ML lived for 2 years after MC died and was an emperor.
There's chunk of story that removed from webtoon. Like how carefree and frivolous life ML had in all previous lives, he was smart, but too carefree, he didn't care about his mother, or anyone. Many ML contact with his mom is cut from webtoon, even ML & MC flashback of 6th life is deleted. Like people ML planted everywhere etc.
