I agree! But what i don't like about the mc, is the way he treated sangmin towards the ending. Yes, it is not an excuse for sangmin to do those horrible things, but the mc failed as a friend, because he didn't even bother to ask sangmin what's going on. He knew the conflict inside sangmin's family, but he never asks if he was okay. He also knew the comparison between, but he never talk about it with sangmin. In that sense, he could have save sangmin from being that kind of person.

YES and instead of addressing the comparisons people make of them both he instead also fueled the fire by shoving it more in sangmins face that he's no.1 and the female lead too like the line where she says that shes direct blood relative unlike sangmins blood so her words hold more authority literally belittling sangmin and the fact that all sangmin had was his mother but even after her death his family is still treating her like shes a whore and calling sangmin whoresblood is just so off://
Maybe in another life sangmin wasn't thrown in that shithole of a family and actually grew up in his mother warm and loving arms, going to highschool and meeting mc and actually fostering a good friendship without the toxic comparisons and that it last until they both become successful with mc being in the medical field and sangmin in the work that wasn't pushed onto him and something he actually genuinely wants to do<3
