yoru (the dancer) stayed with the cirque for 5 years and grew up there. so when amran first met him as a teen (i suppose) during the wedding, he was a fan, then stayed as a fan when yoru was dancing for the cirque, and i guess it only became love when the whole scandal reveal happened (when yoru was sold off to the “whore house”) which is why amram spent like 2 yrs was it??? looking for yoru.
the art style is amazing, but it honestly makes it harder to dislike this story (that’s how good it is). i hate how amran blamed himself for “deceiving” people, when he was forced to do it. the sex was also unpleasant at first - not very consensual (i get that he’s a prostitute, but i thought you loved him???). speaking of his love, he went from being a fan of his when he was a child to loving him/searching for him without ever seeing him (how did that love manifest?). overall though, i’m glad amran found happiness in the end.
