Yes, I do agree that it is reasonable. However, I also have some suspicion of ml because these past few chapters, he's been trying to see some sort of reaction from mc. Like that one time where mc is escorting ml that's also accompanied by other people, where ml asks mc something (I don't quite remember what it was) and mc said something then he replied that it was boring, and also about who will be ml's fiancé, he chose the lover of mc's friend and he looked like he was expecting some reaction out of him.
Also from their past interactions, shouldn't he have guessed or maybe got the hint of what type of personality mc has? It would've been better if he had asked in a way that is not so life threatening, even as gratitude for saving him when those knights didn't even follow them, and mc even got harmed in the cheek. He could've thanked him first for saving him then proceed to ask why did he save him when the others didn't even bother to do that? Does he have some ulterior motive or what he's doing is simply from his sense of duty.
But I have to say tho that ml is not that type of person so him doing that was just him being himself. It still makes me angry like how would you feel if the person you put your blood and sweat to save to just end up with him asking you why you did such thing. Like it's absurd .
Oh my god, shut up and sit down you brat. He just saved and protected you, now you're questioning why he did that? Are you dumb? It's because it's his freaking duty ffs.
