Is her mother dead? Or will she be still alive?
Well, she has long passed. Due to her powers, she knows that she'd die giving birth. Yet, she still chose to let the course run as is.

Adding to the amazement, the woman who kinda help or befriend Tia's mom was the author of the book "People of the South". Remember when Tia regresses, she chose the book so that her grandpa will notice her.
They really connects the people to each other.
