Should i pick it up again?

I remember reading this years ago, but I just HAD to drop it: the protagonist couldn’t stand up for himself and always ended up in situation that lead to him getting punished, the ML, GOD, I would really need to be paid to like him. All I can remember is him abusing the protagonist.

My question now is: did it get better? Cuz if you know, after at least 100 chapter they can have a normal conversation i would be willing to pick this up again, but if it’s still continuing with the abused/abuser nonsense, then I won’t.

I don’t mind getting spoiled, I just want to know if there will be any likeable character…

The main story ended and they actually ended up together and had a son because ML redeemed himself so right now season 2 currently ongoing but it gets worse because the son is worse than the father and made the new MC suffer more miserably than the past MC so no, its not worth reading anymore. This author romanticizes abuse relationships

I also don't get the author run his mins. I mean, yes, you can put drama, abuse and all, its normal in a story, but their level of abuse is somewhat beyond comprehensible. And the way the chase arc is urgh, idrk anymore. But I'm the type of person who still reads eventhough I don't like what I'm reading at all just to see how the ending goes. Hmmmm. I'll wait for the ending, (don't wanna spoil from reading the novel) idc about how the story goes, I just want to finish what I started.

Btw, where's the mom? I want him to give his son a very good beating.
