Madeleine said she had no memories of that past life, so i think she was somehow led to believe she was purya (when it was actually aida) and truly believes it, so much that even Valerie felt it. Valerie has memories of Purya but we were never told why she believes it was Madeleine, and if Aida really is Purya instead of Madeleine, then the reason why Valerie didn’t know and couldn’t feel it is probably because of the magic blocking thing Aida has. She’s immune to magic and they had trouble with her aura to or something like that, so it would explain why neither Valerie nor Madeleine would figure it out. (Sorry idk if it makes sense i can barely understand myself rn)
