I feel like this started off cute but has become more and more like weird self-insert fanfic. The characters have zero depth and feel like such caricatures (basically everyone except for mc and fl are either bad or incompetent, we see very few repeat interactions with them after they've served their purpose). The more I read the more it feels like some 30yos fanfic about some girl they liked in hs, and it's a bit odd that as a grown ass adult he feels romantically towards a minor
