the murderer who killed heeseo’s mother was mr.cha’s mom (we still don’t know why she did that) and the truth is mr.cha has been suspected of her like years ago. mr. cha asked his mother to surrender but she told him she having stage 3 breast cancer and won’t survive long (and she wouldn’t live her life if she was in jail)
mr.cha still loves her as the last family member he has got so he didn’t send her to police and was guilty for heeseo. meanwhile heeseo also found out that the person who killed his mom was mr.cha’s mom. heeseo actually didn’t care who killed his mom and asked mr. cha to not leave him and he won’t say a thing about this again but mr.cha chose his family over him and decide to leave. heeseo stabbed mr. cha and cut his wrist thinking they would die together but apparently mr.cha’s stepbrother came in time and sent mr.cha to hospital. surely, his stepbrother was furious and wanted to get heeseo in jail but mr.cha asked him to let the boy go (i think it was bcs of he felt guilty about it)
