Ok i skipped a few chapters and read them back and i understand his plan now. He’s gonna break sooyoung by losing the only thing he ever wanted (hanguk uni) and offer him to study abroad (an even better chance) with him in a whole new city where no one knows both of them huh? I guess he was going to a savior white horsed prince route. I guess it’s just poor luck that he’s caught by sooyoung this time.

I think his dad used his mother's debt to straight out force her to date/marry him, saying that she only has to stay with him until a child's born. Jihwan, on the other hand, does everything behind Sooyoung's back while pretending he's good guy.
I really dont get him. Well maybe i do? Because even though he didn’t have a pure intention from the start, the lovebombing, asskissing, doing shady things behind sooyoung’s back WAS working.
