came here after the film adaptation left a lasting impression on me and wanted to see the safe craft in the source material. but the movie was definitely more nuanced than the manga which doesn't try to hide anything, and the character(s) development was also way more fleshed out. I find it interesting how they switched the endings around though.. it's much more heartbreaking (still no redemption for our main guy can be found anywhere)
