My theory is rather Kon is a ghost of the sacrificed girl or she is the monster herself.
1. How she interact wid her family (mom and younger brother) in the early chapter, seems like she didn't even talk to them
2. When furuka getting bullied by the granddaughter of the boss, she only said ''with that thing'' i mean it could've just the abalones that she saw, not Kon.
3. There's never interaction of Kon and the friends she has, it's more like a memory to her only, even when she saw that granddaughter of boss with her boyfriend kissing, it's like maybe only abalone that scattering is what she saw.
4. The reaction of her mom was strange as well, it looks like she didn't even look for Kon, rather she commented on furuka that ''she's not from this island''.
5. In the flashing memory of the latest chapter (chapter 25) it includes furuka's aunt, who in other earlier chapter they're never had interaction, maybe why she appeared in the memory because she'd ever lured the aunty inside, even still not clear what for.
It's only my opinion, maybe everyone has their own. I really love this storyyyyyy i want update please
