is cause of a promise she made to her mother to be normal cause her mum's traumatised by their father's death. When things go to shit later on, MC approaches her mum (who's in hospital) and the mum tells her to not let their promise restrain her anymore so the MC becomes 'freed' (gets another powerup) and then beats the shit out of the enemy while being livestreamed, get a world's first achievement, and then pulls off her hood in front of the cameras.

honestly i'm not digging the romance either. She doesn't confess to anyone though? (at least where I'm at, haven't finished btw)
Since I was reading the novel, I wasn't staring at the MC's face 24/7 so her appearance didn't really factor in.

The reason I'm not digging the romance is cause first off, the ml barely ever appears, he's always off-screened and when they ever have a one-on-one interaction I just didn't like his personality. The ml literally has only showed up in corporeal form twice. More spoilers, there's this whole past life munbo jumbo where the MC was a king and I don't really remember, but I think the ml was like her kingdom's hermit/wizard???? At this point the reason I'm even considering on continuing reading is for family feels. There's a cute scene where the MC enters a dungeon her brother hasn't come out of cause she was worried and the two ways to save him are sunlight and someone who loves him calling out his name. Because her brother was affected by the dungeon, he lost his memory and had a different appearance and name.
