I think ur point is valid but I feel different abt the mum and best friend.
If U think abt it, it's probably been more than 10 years since MC's dad died, the best friend's been a father figure for the MC, and he gave up pursuing the mum for the sake of MC's dad. Also he paid for the mum's hospital bills and forged the MC's physical test too.
So yeah he's a green flag basically and I think he totally deserves to be married to MC's mum.

I agree with you. It's not like you break up with your boyfriend you don't get a relationship anymore. Sometimes people are too focused on the fact that he was her first love and the best friend of her deceased husband. Sometimes people are too blinded by that but it won't be a problem for them if he was unrelated like lol.
Yeah, 100% this. Though, I think people find it weird because they put themselves on the MC's shoes — like finding out your benefactor is your mom's first love (and also your dad's best friend), it may feel incongruent at first. But since MC has come to terms with it and it makes his mom happy (plus it's not like the relationship she had with his dad was fake), I don't think it's become anything weird.
I don’t like the relationship between the best friend and the widow. Yes, they looked happy and good together… but in my mind it is wrong. Like you don’t sleep or get together with your best friend or friend’s wife. That’s a big no, even if you dying till a no.
Anyway… I knew he was the real grandson! At least I had my suspicions. Poor grandpa, he will never see his son again ╥﹏╥ well, only his grandson.
