My thoughts as of the latest chapter

I believe Mc is a sexual abuse victim with hyper-sexuality which is why he continues to sleep around. he uses sex as a way to protect himself because that is how he learned to do so in the past.

He convinces himself that he actually wants to do this and that at times because the thought that his sense of control is actually being taken away from him frightens him so he seeks to lie to himself to protect his own psyche.

Which is why he submits himself to Vercious’ rape and why even though Vercion coming onto him terrified him before, he sleeps with him again in ryeo because in face of this new and strange environment + seeing old trauma come up, the only thing he can comfort himself is with sex with vercion because only sex and vercion were familiar to him.

To him sex is what he uses to comfort and pleasure himself, it is his comfort zone even though flashbacks say otherwise, he has not yet learned to use other means.

I would believe you if this author was implying that.
I’m pretty sure it’s just the author fetish with the harem + plus mc getting rape.
Even if the mc is hyper sexual, he would still have negative reactions fucking vercion which he didn’t.
Stories like this are no surprising if the mc ends with the rapist.

The author was implying it. Don’t you remember the chapters when Vercion was practically raping him and he was like, I’m just doing it because he deserves a reward for helping me even though he was also depicted to be utterly terrified and unwilling? The flashbacks of his ex treating him like shit and abusing him, and him trying to acqiese his ex through sex? Why he is so attached to the king because he treats him like an actual person, rather than a god or some other entity? I won’t deny that the author probably does probably lean to twisted stories like this, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an underlying message either. If Mc does end up with Vercion, that’s when this story turns from story about a man coping with his trauma and new environment to like, nonsensical dumpster fire. But we haven’t gotten there yet.

In the latest chapters he does have a negative reaction because he actually craves Vercion’s abuse and this is the one time Cercion isn’t giving it. And when Vercion doesn’t do it, he becomes upset because the one thing he craves is at that point is familiarity , and even though he hated it before, at this point in time he wanted something he was used to against everything else. Also this is the first time he actually actively consents to having sex with Vercion. I think this is actually a realistic portrayal of what victims may go through. It’s not pretty, but reality isn’t always.
