lily was publically hung for her mother's crimes. she supported and tried to protect her narcissistic power obsessed mother till the end. The mom was also executed for her crimes. she was a typical villain and when she reincarnated she regretted everything and promised to cherish and love her daughter who died unjustly just to protect her mother who was already too far gone. I dont think the mom was the only bad one, sshe was enabled hence why she now knows who to trust in her second life. the Bharat kid is also supposed to die young based on the original timeline but our mc will of course save him :)
i think its explained in the first couple chapters so might give those a reread as a refresher
