The studio is not adapting the novel to a dot. So they change some stuffs that suits better for the webtoon media.
I remember reading the novel at this chapter, and my understanding was that they were indoors because he was getting served tea. Turns out they never even went inside www so I thought they were fighting while tang leader was sitting or some shit. Don't even remember mc talking about alliance
