No, the author of the novel is different from the artist of the manga. It's the artist that was caught for tax evasion. Apparently, it was unintentional and she just struggles dealing with her taxes lololol. Anyway, she said she already paid it all now and that this is her personal problem and has nothing to do with the manga. It's not yet certain what will happen eventually (like, if she will she continue drawing for Apothecary Diaries or not, and what punishments she may receive), since as of early June, the case was still ongoing.
Ooooh ok that still sucks tho the are for the manga is beautiful I hope she can continue especially if she took care of everything now you know? Mistakes were made but if she's owning up to it and doesn't do it again why not let her continue lol
