I oddly feel sorry for you trying to defend this toxic waste, he doesn't deserve it. He should be apologising on knees while choking on tears to Dan....and even then he shouldn't be forgiven. Piece of shit, treating people like mindless, emotionless sex toys, only showing affection when it's beneficial to him.
The original commenter was expressing their thoughts on a character, Jaekyung, and their hopes for character development in the story. The aggressive response they received ("I hope you defend your rapist with the same energy") is an example of several argumentative fallacies: strawman fallacy, an ad hominem and hyperbole. Which only exaggerates the original post and story.
The op was talking about a jaekyung and his character while _uwu_senpai tried to make it about defending a serious real-world criminal behavior that don’t exist in the story Jinx. I don’t see where the op is defending anything.
_uwu_senpai attacked the op’s character over a story when they could had addressed points about the story instead of attacking with their pov and not misrepresenting the original comment.
That response exaggerates the situation by equating fictional character behavior with a real-life crime, which is an overstatement and not relevant to the discussion about character development in a story.
It's important to recognize that discussions about fictional characters can become heated, especially when the characters are polarizing or controversial. However, it's crucial to keep discussions respectful and focused on the content of the story rather than attacking individuals for their opinions.
I believe it's important to consider the context in which a character like Jaekyung exists. Often, characters in harsh or complex environments may exhibit behaviors that are difficult to understand without seeing the full picture. Jaekyung might be acting out due to underlying issues or past experiences that haven't been fully explored yet. While his actions may not be justifiable, they might be a reflection of his inability to express emotions in a healthy way.
It would be more constructive to discuss how the story can address these complexities and allow for character growth, rather than jumping to extreme conclusions. Fictional stories often explore challenging themes, and part of the journey is seeing how characters evolve and hopefully find better ways to cope with their circumstances. Let's focus on that potential for growth and understanding, rather than making harsh judgments based on incomplete information.
Stop with the negative environment.
How about treating people with respect. How about making your message to go to you.
Strawman fallacy, ad hominem, and attacking with your pov instead of talking about the topic. Why so hostile? Can you talk about the topic?
There is no rape in Jinx. Your comment is for you not the op. Who attacks others? You are degrading them for sharing a topic on a story. Who does that? See your comment.
I dont get it why people hate Jaekyung so much. I mean okay he is an asshole and stuff and he is obviously treating Dan badly, but in my opinion I believe he caress about him slightly. I mean there are small party in the story where he actually nice to Dan I think he just dont know how to express his emotions.
I really hope in the next season he will be nicer towards Dan beacuse I cant deal with this stress this gives me tho. Im begging for them to have a happy ending beacuse im gonna cry. (btw happy b-day for Jaekyung)
