Ok but I actually agree they are so entertaining, actually possess braincells and are a geniune threat to the protag, I really do not want them to die, I want them to get into prison together, bust out and go rob banks in Malibu at the end

Exactly. Finally some entertaining villains/antagonists who:
- have an actual personality
- are not grapists
- think and plan
- are older non-bishie men, (and one of them is not lily-white)
- are an actual threat or obstacle to the protagonists
Many BL readers on this site simp for 1 dimensional rapist pretty boys, and they just can't appreciate when they see villains like these two.
