In all honesty, I wouldn’t be surprised if the way they justify his behavior is because of (1) hating all other-world people like the sainted at first (as he hated MC at first), (2) different standards of what is normal bc of his world being diff, (3) some sort of blackmail (by the saintess or the govt) or fear of MC being used as blackmail somehow because of showing that he cares about her (specifically im thinking of him being S class and probably exceptional for Earth too)
Maybe he always dragged her home before dark because of not knowing how to text her to ask if shes going home soon LOL
