As far as plot goes yes, there’s some missing elements in how some of the things that have happened played out tho. Prime example is the sports day, it was hyped up quite a bit more in the novel. If you don’t want to start from the beginning you won’t miss much, just some of the depth given to some of the other characters. I.e. the teacher that was hyping up the last race, unless I read this too fast lol, didn’t see him at all and he’s the one that adds a layer to this event.
thanks for your answer, i just skim read the novel from the start till the sports fest then read properly. a little confused though. in the novel it says they go to first middle but i thought they were in high school? the teacher was cool with 8th graders drinking?
