Yes, her daughter is alive and well. Rieta was told her daughter died from the plague but was actually sold to human traffickers. I don't remember what happened to the traffickers but they died and another man took in the kids who were with them, including Adele. The man told Adele not to tell anyone that she's from Hevitas, since it's a plague infested region and people might not engage with her because of this. That's why it's taking rachel and the knights so long to find her. And since Adele is so young at this point, she can't really comprehend the severity of the situation and is just thinking it's some kind of elaborate game of hide and seek. The upside to this is that she doesn't suffer from any major trauma.
When you say "a while" you mean like 100 chapters most likely right? Considering it took 150+ chapters for the couple to roll around in bed (￣∇￣")
