It's not that he hates humans all in all, that's just a misconception that the humans made.
He doesn't want to destroy everything either, he just want to destroy what ro aren had, but not exactly 'destroy' it by breaking, he wants to have them for himself, because it is the only things that reminds him of Ro aren, and the reason why he hurts human is because they hurt Ro aren.
At least that's what I think.
