Something will happen and he need to stabilize and balance all the power so he will find the Sky eating Water ancient power. Y'all BIG spoiler ahead about Cale's "powers". This was revealed far in the novel but he have this "power" right now.
So addition from the ancient powers he currently have right now, he also have his 'Abilities' from his first world one is he can remember everything like every details and emotion everythiiiiing. (He read thousandsssss of books because of this he just flip everything and scan) Then the other one is manipulating time, he can go in the future but like a split second. Not that long but actually play a big role in a scenario.
Although he have this right now it will just be revealed in the future where they start to tell the story of Kim rok Soo, And Yes his previous world is actually not a normal one, There are monsters, calamities and such that's why they have abilities. Cale actually got confused cause why he still have his abilities when he's a different person now. And that will be another spoiler to much to reveal Jajajajahjajaja
