Honestly I’m sad that she didn’t End up with her original fiancé but I understand why she also didn’t end up with him. Yes he was drugged but he still killed her and her family so it gave her a traumatic experience and I completely understand that

I wish more story would do this, hold the trauma of someone killing your whole family even under magic accountable in the next life instead of just remarrying them again I feel like it take away the impact and extent of the crimes they committed

I don't think he deserved what he got in the end. Dude was messed up but he was also brainwashed.

Maybe it's because brainwashing happens in real life, and you don't blame the victim of their abusers actions. Victims of brainwashing deserve a second chance for several compelling reasons:

    1. **Lack of True Autonomy**: Brainwashing undermines an individual's autonomy, often involving manipulation, coercion, and psychological control. Victims are not fully responsible for their actions or beliefs formed under such influence.

    2. **Psychological Manipulation**: Brainwashing techniques exploit psychological vulnerabilities, leaving victims with altered beliefs and behaviors against their will. Recognizing the impact of such manipulation is crucial in understanding their actions.

    3. **Capacity for Change**: With appropriate support and intervention, individuals can recover from brainwashing. Therapy, education, and a supportive environment can help them regain their critical thinking and autonomy.

    4. **Moral and Ethical Consideration**: Compassion and empathy are fundamental human values. Offering a second chance aligns with the belief in human dignity and the possibility of redemption and rehabilitation.

    5. **Precedent in Law and Society**: Legal systems often acknowledge diminished responsibility for actions taken under duress or manipulation. Society, too, generally supports the idea of rehabilitation and second chances for those who have been coerced or manipulated.

    6. **Potential for Positive Contribution**: Once deprogrammed, individuals can offer valuable insights into the processes of manipulation and control, potentially aiding in the prevention of future brainwashing incidents and helping others in similar situations.

Overall, providing a second chance reflects an understanding of the profound impact of brainwashing and a commitment to the principles of justice, empathy, and human potential for growth and change.

So those are the important reasons on why, the brainwashing Trope and giving victims a second chance, and executing somebody who's a victim of it, is done in poor taste and it's not just a trope, it's a moral compass

Then he can I'm not saying that she should marry him but he didn't deserve to have his head chopped off. That's all I'm just saying.

........Kassiel wasn't executed tho? He's very much alive. The Prince was. And even if he was manipulated, he was the ruler of a kingdom, it's a much different implication because he's in one of the highest position of power and destruction.

Putting magical fantasy stories aside, I also believe real life manipulation/brainwashing has to be a case-by-case basis context; and it's really difficult to argue for it either way. Rehabilitation is so very difficult. This isn't really comparable...............
