Author def put that bs rule in for the plot, I've never seen a company rule be applied to an rpg

    I think it's cuz of the previous drama the guild had with it's previous members. Remember there was a time when their personal info got leaked and jistar got stalked and whatnot. So I guess they put on those rules to avoid that kind of shiz happening again, imo

    Ist it pretty common for mmo tho ? The guild I join usually have rules to make sure all members stay anonymous

    In my experience, no? Unless you're treating being in a guild like a job or very casually, it's typical to make friends with guild mates because that's the whole point of the guild.

    Yeah i agree with making friend but usually the guild i join didnt allow any personal exchange like giving out or asking for your irl name is a big nono

    Oh I get what you're saying. In this particular case they've already exchanged numbers/line/vc and know ages+location, so it would be redundant to have those kinds of rules since they basically already broke them, which is why it's bs. It's like working in an office but being unable to get drinks with your coworkers later yk?
