I could forgive this being a literal one to one copy of Male Lead's Adopted Daughter but the characters having the mental capacity of a glass of orange juice is taking me out.
"Oh no this girl who has the same eye and hair color as you, who calls you dad and your wife mom might be related to you"
"Well she does have the same eyes"
(The joke is that the only smart character in the story gets ignored for an unoriginal joke to further the misunderstandings)
