maybe if you read it in the novel it doesn't affect you so much because there are no images (drawings) (chapter 100 approximately), but it makes you angry to see how Sofia the ex-servant and the brother beat and torture her, it hurts you more to see it in images, later they even send some mercenaries to rape her but in the end they don't abuse her but they end up helping her to escape.
After reading the novel, I didn't feel like continuing reading the manhwa, the truth is that Lise is the author who always wants to kill Edith, she is a crazy psychopath who thinks she is a god in her own world.
In the following chapters Edith is going to suffer, she is going to be beaten a lot, tortured, etc. I don't want to read that kind of plot anymore, so much aggressiveness and the poor girl suffering.
The positive thing is that Edith ends up winning the battle for control over the novel and although she was almost executed for accusing her of treason, she overcomes all adversity on her own.
Killian doesn't do much to save her from violence because he arrives as always late but he defends her when she is accused of her crimes and as he already knows that Lise is a damn bitch, Killian manages to prevent her from continuing to cause problems for Edith (in the end all the Duke's family ends up realizing what kind of person Lise is).
