most of the times she's died she was only a child and because of the abuse, she probably wasn't able to age past a mental state where a child craves love from family. plus there's actually a plot point of her living through 7 lives where she has to suffer. it's explained later in the story.
aw awful as this sounds i actually agree with you somewhat. I still don’t understand why it took 7 lives for her to use her head but i do think you should still give this story a try!

I think you should pick it back up, she explains why she was like that later, because she regains clarity. She isn’t actually all that naive, if you’ll believe it. The story has been amazing so far, definitely in my top 10.
Dropped at ch 1. I thought she regressed each time smarter and more firm in wanting to take revenge on her “family” but the first ch showed me she was naive till her last life.
How in the hell does it take 7 lives of abuse and death for someone to get it in their thick skull that they are not wanted??? I get wanting to hold out hope they can change the first couple of lives, but not 7 whole cycles.
It’s crazy how she had to die 7 times to come to the conclusion that her family will nvr love her. Feelings like that don’t change in a split sec and I can bet in her final life, she has some moments where she STILL hopes the father or brother changes and gets disappointed like a dummy
