Hey hey my reviews as this thing got me into bl and I have been following it from way back. My first ever read... Wdym arts weird? It's the prettiest thing I have seen, oh maybe the opinion is subjective but it gets way better.
There r 2 couples and 4 friends. First is idiot and idiot duo. And later half of the story focus on second couple, won't call it enemies to lover it's more like scheming hoty × Stubborn guy kinda thing and plot gets pretty deep sometimes but the old Xi'an be playing us. There is a lot to uncover yet but it's started off as very light hearted read. And it's funny too.
the artstyle really grows on you. I'm an artist, and from a technical perspective its actually incredibly impressive. Also, it's not really enemies to lovers. There are two pairs, friends. and then A friend of the main pair, and a guy that doesnt get along with them. but he eventually joins the friend group and it becomes a group of four friends, paired off as couples. (kindaaaa.) its shounen AI, and takes place in china. China is noooot the best place to be gay, so its mostly them dicking around while swooning over each other. that said it's very clear they are romantically involved, its not gay bait. I highly recommend it, its very funny, great art, and when its serious it does a great job. one of my favorites. it's also not hard to catch up with cause each chapter is so short.
just a PS. people tend to get confused with the story, but im not really confused about it so ill just tell you to avoid that confusion.
This follows two timelines, for the most part, it is allll the present (high school), but sometimes it shows the future (college) and the series leads to the converging point to show how we arrived at the future scenarios. the reason people get confused i think... is just because of how long it is, and because the author isnt always super clear about which we are looking at.
that said, it isnt hard to tell if you pay attention, and the future is hardly shown compared to the present.
Its my first ever read too!! I’m so in love with the complexity and slow burn development. It’s been a lot of years and finally is taking shape, ig i’ll just have to wait another 5 christmas to finally see them all grown up ╮(￣▽￣)╭ iykyk
Thank you for all the replies! I have started to read this thing and is on chapter around 200, it’s very funny, and sometimes embarrassing, but it’s very cool! The art style doesn’t bother me as much anymore but I saw some of the art on TikTok and it looks like it improved a lot! I shall continue to read this and enjoy bits of it, thanks for the replies and have a amazing day(づ￣ ³￣)づ
haha, i mean like in the first 200 chapters, the art style looked weird to me cause i wasnt too familiar, but as i read into it further, the art style changed a LOT, it looks very pretty now haha(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
i havent read this yet but is this good? the art style looks kinda weird to mealso what kind of trope is this? i heard its a enemies to lovers, is it also a slow burn? because there is a lot of chapters.
