In this particular story it doesn't bother me because the ML is so very clearly a "different species" (≧∀≦) (The mother and father as well, to some degree.)

Idk why everyone is so upset about the ML? I just think of it as a childhood friends to lovers type of thing. The only difference is that the FL parents are nonexistent.
But if you think about it, some other childhood friends to lovers stories have a similar premise where one set of parents are never home and the other set of parents love the child for them. Instead of living in the same complex/area as each other, they live in the same huge mansion.
So I really don't understand this comment section being full of people being upset about the ML.
It's not like they thought they were related. They were both fully aware that there is no actual relation.
There is no incest, and there is no pedophilia either, as the transmigrated FL does not have any attraction whatsoever while they are kids. (Currently on chap 24, and she has no attraction yet as teenagers either).
ML is allowed to have attraction towards the FL, as in his mind she is only 2 years older than him; which is true physically but not mentally.
But either way, I have rambled on too much now.
