I read the whole novel, and the two of them have a happily ever after as married men (since they are germans) lol, and ml build a big home for them and bought mc a private plane.
The only accident that happened was when MC had a car accident while being on phone with ml, then after ml admitting that during the few seconds when he called out mc name and he didn't respond (due to shock, mc was fine), he was ready to k*ll himself with the knife he was holding (he was in the kitchen cooking during the phone call).
So I think if mc died, ml will just follow him lol.
