It’s actually so interesting how other cultures view sexuality. In these BLs it feels like these authors view falling for one individual who *happens* to be of the same gender vs. the character developing a general attraction to other men as “not bisexual”. Which- in a western sense seems weird but I get it!
If anything it feels like they would be pansexual since the gender doesn’t seem to matter but if they don’t feel the need to label themselves and just “fall for the person” I can understand them not explicitly including a hard label.
Wholesome and cute, but for the love of gawd I wish BL authors would recognize that bisexual people exist. Its always this hard line of gay/straight and no consideration of bisexuality whatsoever
